Huddersfield Railway Station Connections – Second Stage Consultation Response from Cycle Kirklees
Cycle Kirklees’ submission on the Huddersfield Railway Station Connections consultation commends plans to improve routes to Birkby, Greenhead Park and Leeds Road but makes some key reservations.
Firstly there is an absence of plans to connect the new routes to key destinations (e.g. Trinity Street to Greenhead College and routes to Birkby and the Birkby Bradley Greenway).
The campaign is also concerned at the lack of attention to other key routes that need improved access to the railway station and town centre (e.g. from Wakefield Road, South Queen Street and Manchester Road) that involve crossing the Ring Road.
